Les Sentiers Massawippi is a non-profit, volunteer, membership organization formed in 1990. It is also a registered charity (No. 13344 4166 R0001).

The Mission of Sentiers Massawippi is to promote the extension and improvement of the network of ecological trails available to the public. It includes in particular the conversion from Rail to Trail of the abandoned Massawippi Valley Railroad property into a linear park for non-motorized recreation and transportation, nature conservation, education, and the preservation of our heritage.

Our efforts are mainly concentrated in the Massawippi watershed. We were instrumental in getting the Town of Lennoxville to buy 13 km of the abandoned railway in the Massawippi River valley, which has now become an important part of the Réseau des Grandes Fourches network of trails. Since 1993 our major project has been the realization of the Tomifobia Nature Trail.
